Shannon Sims

Director of IT Development

Shannon has over 13 years business experience in the IT industry and has been involved in Website design and development for over 16 years. Shannon developed the Web-based training and testing system for installers of the first residential two-way satellite Internet service in the United States. Shannon taught Website design courses for NGCSU’s Continuing Education program with Dr. Bryson Payne, professor of Computer Science and current CIO of NGCSU. He has provided consulting services to customers around the world from the American Junior Golf Association in Braselton, Georgia to Secude IT Security in Darmstadt, Germany.
 Neal Miller

Director of Art & Design

With over fourteen years of project management and leadership experience for large corporations, colleges and state universities, Neal has led the development and implementation of strategic technology solutions throughout his career. Combining leadership and project management skills, Neal has over 12 years of art and design experience ranging from Web interface development to application design to print and digital media production. He currently provides consulting services to the Chestatee Regional Hospital system by helping them find solutions for their online, print and other marketing needs.. While working with Aramark Corporation, Neal assisted in the design of functional spaces for retail and dining venues as well as brochure and advertising layouts.
James Daniel

Director of Media Services

James graduated from North Georgia College and State University in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. As a member of the Applied Studios team, it is Mr. Daniel's desire to provide a superior service to each business needing assistance. His tenure in small business technology spans back to 1993 with steady work that continues to this day. James believes that every business needs a good technological foundation to compete in today's marketplace. Mr. Daniel will provide that foundation with the goal of making your business stronger, more knowledgeable, and more cost efficient.
Jacob Elliott

Lead Developer

Jacob graduated from North Georgia College and State University in Fall 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He designed and developed NGCSU's email login authentication system used daily by over 8,000 students and staff. Jacob is active in computer science research and activities and placed third in the 2007 CCSC Southeastern Programming Competition at Coastal Carolina University. Jacob has eight years of Web programming and design experience.
Stephanie Beaver

Graphic Artist

Stephanie graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Georgia College and State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Art Marketing. While at NGCSU she served an internship at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and won the Visual Arts Department Head Award. Her emphasis is on Graphic Design and Photography and she has exhibited her work in several venues including "Strutting with the Roosters", a public art project in Gainesville, Georgia.

Alan Vitek

Graphic Artist

Alan graduated from North Georgia College and State University in Fall 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art. He has been performing graphic design work professionally for several years and has a thorough understanding of traditional art as well. Alan won top honors in the "Gainesville Vision 2030" design contest and is a Kiwanis Scholarship Award winner. Alan is also an Eagle Scout from Troop 3, Northeast Georgia Council and he never lies.
James McMullan

App Developer

James is a student at North Georgia College and State University who is also planning to graduate in Spring 2012. He is majoring in Physics and Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. James has worked as a technician with NGCSU's IIT Helpdesk and has developed computer automation software for an x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy system as part of a research project with NGCSU. James is interested in game development and is developing a game engine for the iOS platform in his spare time. James doesn't sleep.
Kevin Hawkins

App Developer

Kevin is a student at North Georgia College and State University. He is majoring in Computer Science and plans to graduate in Fall 2012. His emphasis is on software development and he has designed software for the State of Georgia to assist with database management, helpdesk services, and automation services. Kevin is interested in the field of Artificial Intelligence and is developing games for the iOS platform in his free time.
